EPX Games is an independent Canadian game studio founded in 2012, with development roots reaching back to 2011 when work began on its first game, Night Whisper Lane.
A solo-developed project becomes the starting point for EPX Games.

EPX Games creates original video game experiences with a hands-on independent approach. We focus on distinctive worlds, engaging gameplay, memorable atmosphere, and stories that give each project its own identity.
Being independent gives us the freedom to experiment, refine ideas, and build games around a clear creative vision rather than simply following trends.
OUR JOURNEY
EPX Games grew from a small independent project into a studio with a long-term focus on original game development. The path has included a first commercial release, years of post-launch support, experimentation with new projects, and a period of rebuilding and refocusing the brand.
THE BEGINNING
Night Whisper Lane began development in 2011 as a solo project. The goal was to create an original survival-horror experience built around exploration, atmosphere, and turn-based encounters. As development continued, a small number of staff and contributors joined the project and helped bring different parts of the game together. That early development period became the foundation for what would become EPX Games.
FIRST COMMERCIAL RELEASE
Night Whisper Lane launched on iOS in October 2012, marking EPX Games’ first commercial game release. Releasing the project provided firsthand experience with publishing, supporting players, and bringing an independently developed title to market. It also established the studio’s interest in creating original games with distinctive concepts and gameplay systems.
CONTINUED SUPPORT & EXPANSION
The release was not the end of development. EPX Games continued supporting Night Whisper Lane through 2014 with content updates and additional features, including a new Boss Rush mode. Work was also done to bring the game to other platforms following its original iOS release. This period gave the studio valuable experience with post-launch development and adapting a game beyond its original platform.
DEVELOPMENT & EXPERIMENTATION
In the years that followed, EPX Games continued developing and experimenting with new game concepts on a part-time basis. Several ideas and projects were explored, and some changed direction or ultimately did not progress to a commercial release. Those experiences still contributed to the studio’s understanding of scope, development, and the kinds of projects it wanted to pursue.
REBUILDING EPX GAMES
EPX Games later took time to reassess its direction and rebuild the foundation of the studio. That process included modernizing the brand, website and infrastructure, strengthening its community presence, and taking a more focused approach to future development. Rather than simply continuing old plans, the goal became creating a stronger base for the next stage of the company.
MOVING FORWARD
Today, EPX Games is entering a new phase with a renewed focus on original game development and community engagement. The studio is building on the lessons learned since development first began in 2011 while preparing future projects with clearer direction and stronger foundations. The goal remains the same at its core: create memorable gaming experiences and continue growing EPX Games one project at a time.
